Upleaks, the anonymous and famous tech leaker, has some good news for us. It’s not confirmed yet but Sony is believed to be introducing a new selfie-focused smartphone ideal for the well…selfie addicts. Details are scarce but we have an idea this could be called the Sony Lavender or the E55 Series. Based on the name alone, we’re guessing the phone will be lavender or anything with a purplish shade.
Rumored specs of the Sony Lavender E55 Series include 13 megapixel front and main cameras, a bigger than the Xperia C4’s FHD display, 2GB RAM, 1.7GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 64Bit processor, dual SIM card support, and a super-narrow bezel. We’re assuming too that this Sony Lavander smartphone will run Android 5.0 Lollipop already out of the box.
What’s with lavander you may ask? We don’t know really but Sony has released a purple Sony Xperia A2 last year which looked really nice and calming. Some of the most common colors include the basic black, white, blue, or pink for the girly version but a purple one is unusual.
Upleaks posted the image last May 15 but he tweeted he “deleted Sony logo due to several reasons”. This is no doubt it is a Sony device because it looks like any other past model from Sony. No mention on pricing and availability too but since a similar model was introduced same time last year, it’s okay to assume this Sony Lavander will be announced anytime soon. We’ll see.
